Job Summary
The dental assistant supports the dentist and clinical team to ensure quality patient care, a safe environment, and efficient clinical operations. They play a key role in patient satisfaction and the smooth functioning of the clinic.
Main Responsibilities
1. Clinical Assistance
- Prepare and organize instruments, equipment, and materials needed for dental procedures
- Assist the dentist during treatments (suction, passing instruments, preparing materials)
- Take and develop dental radiographs according to protocols
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and treatment rooms
- Maintain a clean and safe environment compliant with health and safety standards
2. Patient Management
- Welcome and comfortably seat patients in the treatment room
- Explain procedures and answer patient questions
- Keep patient records up to date and confidential
- Manage post-treatment follow-ups and appointment reminders when needed
Skills and Qualities Required
- Recognized diploma in dental assisting or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of sterilization protocols and safety standards
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a dynamic environment
